Celebrating India's Technological Triumph: May 11, 1998
May 11, 1998 marked a historic milestone for India as the nation achieved resounding success. Conducting five nuclear explosions as part of the Pokhran-2 test, India showcased its technological prowess. In honor of this achievement, Technology Day is celebrated annually. Recognizing the remarkable contributions of scientists and engineers, Atal Bihari Vajpayee designated May 11 as National Technology Day. Notably, the indigenous aircraft 'Hans-3' underwent a successful test flight on the same day, further highlighting India's advancements. Additionally, the successful testing of the Trishul missile added to the day's significance.

11 મે, 1998 એ ભારત માટે ઐતિહાસિક દિવસ માનવામાં આવે છે. દેશને મોટી સફળતા મળી હતી .ભારતે પોખરણ-2 ટેસ્ટ માટે પાંચ પરમાણુ વિસ્ફોટ કર્યા હતા. દેશની આ સફળતાની ઉજવણી તરીકે દર વર્ષે ટેકનોલોજી દિવસ ઉજવવામાં આવે છે.વૈજ્ઞાનિકો અને એન્જિનિયરોની આ જબરદસ્ત ઉપલબ્ધિઓના આધારે અટલ બિહારી વાજપેયીએ 11 મેને રાષ્ટ્રીય ટેકનોલોજી દિવસ તરીકે જાહેર કર્યો હતો. ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, સ્થાનિક રીતે વિકસિત એરક્રાફ્ટ ‘હંસ-3’ એ પણ તે જ દિવસે પરીક્ષણ ઉડાન ભરી હતી. ઉપરાંત ભારતે આ દિવસે ત્રિશુલ મિસાઈલનું પણ સફળ પરીક્ષણ કર્યું હતું.
