This past week has been nothing short of absolutely magical ✨ Growing up, my parents started a tradition of picking a restaurant to eat out at for our birthdays. As an adult, I know that birthdays have some significance, but it doesn't have to be limited to that day, so I always still work on my birthday if I'm scheduled.
A little over a month ago, I came up with the idea of doing a turn and burn overnight trip to take the kids to Chef Mickey's (if you talk to Carson for more than 30 seconds, you'll probably hear how he wants to go see Mickey). Last year when we went to Disney, we didn't have the best reactions to characters from Carson, even though they were fantastic and tried so hard to make him comfortable and I thought this would be a great opportunity to try again. Well, as Megan plans do, we ended up adding a few resort days to enjoy the pool and another character meal at 1900 Park Fare and had the BEST week! The kids had a blast at Chef Mickey's and Ellie could not contain her excitement. She had gained so much confidence in her walking ability the week leading up to the trip and showed it off to Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto and gave them the biggest hugs (and wouldn't let go for us to get pictures of her face).
We were also so lucky that @ayanez08 went along with my crazy, ever-changing plan and tagged along with us while our hubbies were somewhere along the coast of South America and helping wrangle the kids and capture some amazing memories for us❤️ She started as the ombudsman for the boat Jordan is assigned to and has become an amazing friend and we are so thankful for her!
I can't think of a better way to celebrate life and the life I get to experience being a momma to these two precious babies❤️
