A series of 4 LPs compiled by Lionel Young (Sir Tropical Downbeat) and released on the Trojan label in the early ‘90s. Lionel could often to be found in the clothes and music shops in Carnaby street (central London) around the time these albums were released, often selling records and engaging in conversation with anyone who had an interest in Jamaican music…. of which he was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about.
