As I dropped something off at a friend's house this evening, I was reminded of a time when leaving my home during daylight hours felt overwhelming. The thought of interacting with others or facing the brightness of the sun seemed daunting. So, I found solace in the quiet of late nights, when the world was still and the streets were empty. It's hard to believe that just a year ago, these late-night walks were my way of gradually expanding my comfort zone, reclaiming a sense of agency in a world that felt too vast and overwhelming. After almost a year of being mostly confined to my home, my world had shrunk significantly, and those late-night excursions were a lifeline to the outside world.
