On the eve of The Wilkie House gym renovation, it was great attending the celebration of the history of 72 years. Seeing the community coming together and sharing their stories of the memories made was great. From playing basketball, attending dances to roller skating, there were tons of memories being shared. One of the memories shared was someone's mother taking her to an event in the gym when she was an infant.
Renovations start today! I'm looking forward to seeing and playing basketball in the new Wilkie House gym!
It was also great seeing one of the students from my after-school program at Perkins Elementary in attendance with their mother. It was great catching up and seeing how school is going!
