Hello! I am Jorleny or Jojo for short. I am a first generation Mexican-American daughter/granddaughter/friend on her journey to make everyone around her proud and feel loved. I am graduating from Cal State LA with a bachelor’s in Child Development along with a certificate in Child Abuse and Family Violence.
When I began brainstorming ideas for this grad cap, I took a trip down memory lane to think about the sweetest childhood memories I’ve had. I then thought about the amount of times my parents and I would constantly watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Sleeping Beauty on our carpet floor. It was a time where we really didn’t have much and would rely on those two movie films. As the years went by, Disneyland was one of the few places that allowed me to express my inner child. To think that now I am graduating from a 4-year university and will be continuing my journey to pursue my master’s is a proud accomplishment of mine. I couldn’t have done it without my parents and their hard work.
Thank you Mom and Dad for making me the happiest little girl during the rough times and for influencing my love for Disney. I love you both so much! 💗 Thank you Kim for being so kind and for taking the time to paint this design 🥹
