The hard charging rum drinking fighter pilot of the late 80s and early 90s was in love with two things - his chariot'o war (usually a MiG) and his two-stroke ear rattling Yamaha RX100.
This Yamaha advertisement from the time would bring back memories for a lot of old hands and for some who still own this little beast. Just like the MiG-27 in the frame, the RX100 was replaced with newer models like the four-stroke 135 and later with even fancier bikes. Nevertheless, it will remain a legend in the history of two-wheelers in India as would the MiGs. While these machines may have faded away, the qualities of their riders still live on in the next generations who now operate machines much more advanced than these two. But as the Luftwaffe chief General Adolf Galland once said,
"The more mechanical become the weapons with which we fight, the less mechanical must be the spirit which controls them."
